Can someone PLEASE tell me WHY MEN have a great need to drive up the ass end of the vehicle in front of them all the time and love to leave braking till the last minute, just to ensure those ABS brakes reallllly do have a shudder effect

Can you please tell me WHY WOMEN insist on putting their makeup on or brushing their hair whilst driving in peak hour traffic?

:tease:

The funniest thing I can do when I see that, is hit the horn! Then they look like friggin clowns after they stop shaking! :roflmbo::roflmbo:

There is a whole swag of reasons why women put their make-up on or brush their hair in the car....but the main one normally is to impress you guys when they pick you up from wherever you can't drive home from :roflmbo:

Didn't you read the Herald a few weeks back?? Women earn up to 20% more if they wear make-up to work, so mate that's enough incentive for me to make sure I get the "make-up bonus" :roflmbo:

You do that too? :bum:

I screamed at one so loud at the lights he fell off the bike. Red lights are for everyone not just f***n cars!

My missus honked at one in Melb CBD a few years back, and he kicked the car as he rode past and through a red light. Gotta be careful, but we got ours back when the unmarked copper put on his disco lights and followed him through the red light. Pulled us over aswell and asked if there was damage. None, but the bogan on the bike copped a 165 buck fine for disobeying a traffic signal, and a summons for abusive language. :spoton:

Such a pity that a serious and enlightening post should be eventually treated with such insensitivity by some. Credit to you Andy for learning a lesson without having to directly experience it. My oldest stepson who just truned 17 personally knew another 17 year old who died in the Geelong region a few weeks back. The driver of an old VL was travelling at 170+ km/h as he hit an 80 km zone on a tight bend coming into Torquay. He lived, the front passenger was air lifted to the Alfred Hospital and the young guy in the back died. My stepson had been talking to the kid who died only a couple of hours before.

My wife and I could never, ever have taught Josh the lesson that he took on board at this tragedy and just to sink it home completely he went to the funeral and saw the devastation it had created to all those who loved and knew the kid who died.

You know it's a shame that the government dosen't find a way to teach this to kids as well as decent driving skills.

You know the only real difference between the young driver and a more "street wise" older driver is that the older driver says to himself or herself "what if?" before doing something ultimately stupid. It's the difference between feeling bullet proof and knowing that you're not.

:msm: That’s brilliant

I only do it after you overtake them and then they creep back through the traffic at the next set of lights. Have left a few people emotionally scarred from that scenario.

Yet to see one with a 2 stroke strapped on to the frame though!

andrew, funny you should say that because in the last 6 months of driving I have said to myself "what if" more times than I ever did in all the years I have had a licence put together!!

looks like something that younger drivers can only teach themselves..

I have been touched by tragedy also, but if you sit around and feel depressed about it allday what good will it do for you or the people around you?

Remember the good in them and also remember that you are still breathing and take everyday as it comes.

And streetwise doesn't mean sh*t Andrew50, an 80 year old died the other day on the roads in vic. It doesn't matter how old you are, if you take risks, be prepared to live with the consequences.

And no one is being insensitive, my Grandfathers wake had more laughter at it than most Melbourne comedy gigs. Feel the pain, but move on. Remember the soul. A bit like the saying I can forgive, but cannot forget.
