I have Maxxis MA V1's and they are great compared to the old stockies. $140 a corner. Last night in the wet they gripped REALLY well. Had them about 3 months and holding up well. Im very impressed with them.

The only other tyres ive used were commercial tyres and they, well, suck! and are no good to u

I have the Toyo Proxes and I reckon they are excellent for grip and wear. In the wet they are pretty unreal as well.

I got them for $225/each for 245/40/18 up the coast.

heaps better than the toyo's, actually the best low $ tyre iv'e ever had. I put them on the front of my awd magna and now I can oversteer it in the wet as the front out grips the rear by a huge margin.

I see no one has mentioned nankangs. I remember someone a while back saying that they were quite reasonably priced and gripped quite well. Anyone running these?

yeah the nankangs are cheap silicon base tryre but not to sure on there rating as a tyre..

That's cool. I just thought I would throw them into the mix seeing as it was to fit a budget. I think the tyres were the nankang NS2's from memory.
