If I may add, I have a company bf xr6t which they lease. I want to get a capa flash box with the generic tunes they offer. Has anyone ever done that?

My car is not insured, the company does not insure any of their leased cars.

I have an edit only and never had a problem with warranty or insurance. I obviously flash it back to standard before taking it in for service.

Anyway at the end of the day, we all know mods = no warranty. it's a risk we take. Some people win others lose.

if you win, then that's good.

if you lose, cop it and move on.

What about using the non-Ford mechanics for servicing? They claim that the factory warranty is unaffected if you should choose not to service your car at Ford?

I think there is a consumer regulation or something that prevents Ford from voiding warranty for you not servicing your car with them.

Surely these 3rd party mechanics would not have the "Ford updates"... so when you do return to Ford for a warranty issue, flash in the original tune... which is fine because Ford have not had the car to update it from the original?
