Is this correct, (450mls in 15 secs) because the I've got an after market braided line for my BA and it has a restrictor on the turbo end ( approx. 1mm hole ) and I checked the flow with the restrictor and it was about 150mls after 15 secs, and without the restrictor it was bang on 450mls. Do the Earl lines have a restrictor on them and has anyone checked the flow from it,

Im a bit worried to use mine after reading this ^. I might put my old one back on and check the flow before taking the car for a drive with the new one, Cheers

So could that restrictor in the line starve the turbo of oil, I wont be leaving mine in but could others have issues with it by leaving it in ?

Cheers

Just a few weeks ago I did mine for the first time @ 241,000 kms before it went for its latest newest tune. It was reasonably clean and I could not visibly see any blockages with a light shone through it. It could have gone back in with a good clean but I bought a new factoey filter and fitted cos its good insurance.

I think it comes down to good routine of oil/filter changes. I have had my car almost since new and I change the oil/filter every 6,000 kms without exceptions. My car has been tuned for about 6 years so far

No fancy oil just valvoline engine armour 15/40

Good service routine goes a long way

You would have to be real lazy not to, can be done before the oil has finished draining.
