Im still tossing up between paying 180 for the earls kit or just removing the filter out of the line and whacking it straight back on. Is the earls kit worth it or should I just save my money and pull it off and put the line back on?

Car will run but turbo will most likely be seized so wouldnt be good. May smoke by burning oil. Why dont you change the filter?

I've removed mine and no problems at all so far.

I'm a mechanic I've never seen or heard of any turbo car having this filter same as others I work with so I got rid of it today. I got some washers at Ford spare parts and they guy had never heard of what I was talking about and was "suprised they stocked them".. I wouldn't waste my money on a filter kit. Engine oil filter is there for a reason and it's a performance car so your oil should always be clean.

On a hoist with the right tools it will only take 30 mins max including cleaning the threads, taking filter out etc. I reckon I would've lost my s**t if I had to do it on the floor

Air box out (five minutes) 24mm long socket with 150mm extension - piss easy on the ground. I've fitted the remote kit for safety but do agree with your comments. With regular oil changes, I don't think it's an issue. But yes, definately don't leave the OEM one in :beerchug:

:stupid: The oil is filtered prior to going to the turbo anyway so my in line filter is long gone

right - I'm going to give this a crack. Took the airbox out this morning for a quick look. At what stage do you disconnect the oil supply pipe from the assembly? What is the easiest way to do this or I'm I missing something simple?

Removed mine completly today, took all of 10 minutes during a service.

Pull of air filter, then use a deep 24mm stock to undo the first part, remove the line then use the 24mm to remove the last piece. Then re asemble.

The line doesnt twist and I saw no need to hold the other half...
