May smoke by burning oil. Why dont you change the filter?I've removed mine and no problems at all so far. I got some washers at Ford spare parts and they guy had never heard of what I was talking about and was "suprised they stocked them".. I wouldn't waste my money on a filter kit. Engine oil filter is there for a reason and it's a performance car so your oil should always be clean. On a hoist with the right tools it will only take 30 mins max including cleaning the threads, taking filter out etc. I reckon I would've lost my s**t if I had to do it on the floor Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I've fitted the remote kit for safety but do agree with your comments. With regular oil changes, I don't think it's an issue. Took the airbox out this morning for a quick look. At what stage do you disconnect the oil supply pipe from the assembly? What is the easiest way to do this or I'm I missing something simple? Member 407 Member For: 14y 4m 19d Gender: Male Posted 03/04/11 09:32 AM Share Posted 03/04/11 09:32 AM Removed mine completly today, took all of 10 minutes during a service.Pull of air filter, then use a deep 24mm stock to undo the first part, remove the line then use the 24mm to remove the last piece.
