I'd recommend buying new copper washers too, as the copper is pretty soft and moulds into the right shape as you tighten them up. Using older ones increases the chances of an oil leak in my opinion.

Ok I need to do this ASAP as well.

So what is the best way to go?

1. Replace the line and filter with something like the ETM setup.

2. Remove OEM filter and put it back in.

3. Remove OEM filter and run no filter at all.

4. Replace the OEM line and filter with new OEM line and filter.

Finally got around to chopping up my old turbo oil supply line this arvo.

I only chopped it in the area right above the turbo, as this is where the most caking would occur after engine shutdown due to the heat (I believe).

I'm pleased that there was absolutely no caking on the inside of the line, and it was very clean. I guess all the regular services and leaving the car to cool down before shutting off has helped I guess?

I just removed my filter at work and it was spotless, a tip for anyone trying this is to remove the bolt holding the dipstick in place as it will allow the oil feed line to be pulled back just that little bit more.
