I met my wife on a online dating site.

I had a vague profile and met many girls, but none I clicked with.

I then wrote a 2 page profile about who I was and what I wanted.

I got in contact with a girl, we emailed eachother for a few weeks, then spoke on the phone and then met. We both knew the second we met that we were in love. I proposed 4 months later and we have been married for 4.5 years, without any arguments or bad words.

I never believed in soulmates or love at first sight until I met my wife. I have a mate who fell in love at first sight with his wife, but she didnot feel the same until they were dating for a couple of years.

I feel I am the luckiest person in the world, meeting my wife.

If anyone is finding it hard to meet the right person, I suggest sites like RSVP.com.au as you can get to know someone online first, as it is easier to type out how you feel, rather than face to face in some noisey nightclub.

:roflmbo:

I couldn't agree more.

I was on a major drought until I gave these a go and met heaps of cool chicks. I to didn't think anything of the whole love thing until I met my girl. Now I'm stoked.

These sites really do work.

One thing though, a lot of shy and insecure people visit those sites and males have 3 times as many profiles on there as women do.

Sure if you want to meet any girl on there then fair enough but if you want to actually meet someone who is gorgeous and outgoing then I suggest meeting people in real life situations... but whatever works for you, some have a busy lifestyle and cant come out to meet people... You can argue that too by saying you can meet someone within 10 mins of visiting a bar or a cafe too.

PS Zap Im really happy for you mate!

Dont wrote yourself off mate. If you think you can meet a girl at the beach then you will... you create your own destiny. Do not fall into the stereo types...
