Guest Guests Posted 09/02/07 12:01 PM Share Posted 09/02/07 12:01 PM What option's do we have as fas as fuel pump's go, I'd like to try and stick to an intake pump if it's capable of supporting 4oo-45orwkw. What sort of power will the walbro unit support, if not what other options do we have.

When your going near 400 it is just insurance to have a surge tank a motor is much more expensive

It would be OK in short bursts, but on the 1/4 mile it would happen at about 3/4 track. If you're aiming for 450, I wouldn't be relying on an in-tank. I have a surge tank with an bosh 044 pump on it. This is filled by the standered fuel pump. I also would be consered with the motor running out of fuel while you are punting arround hunder high rwkw's this is why you have a surge tank. A lot cheaper than a motor detination when you run lean with 16 psi of boost.Give Con a call at C V Performance and he should be able to help you out with all of your concerns.GK

Haven't had any problems with fuel supply combined with the Seimens Deka's and fuel regulator.I'm running 384rwkw and will be pushing past 400 in the near future and can't see any issues with my set up handling big power.Any reason why you want to stay away from a surge tank setup?
