Just noticed an 05 BF XR6T at Fowls Auctions in Sydney with an auction price range of between 19-23k admittedly its an ex chaser with 77,456kms on the clock but if you wanted to get into a current model XR6T with the ZF 6 box I think for the price they might be good value.

Aplogies if the link doesnt work...

Estimated value from an Auction house is generally low to get the punters in the door, I would say the finance company would be looking for around the 24k

hey there boost 69, had my ex chaser for a while now, no probs at all apart from a loose headlight chrome ring - Ford replaced the whole unit under warranty. Love the extras that come with this package. Hear stories about how hard cop cars are driven but how many on this forum can honestly say they don't give their own car a good caning every chance they get (I know I do !). Was cheaper than privately owned and spent the savings on some engine mods.

So Turbotaxi are you happy with the ex chaser?

Does it still have the new car feel or does it feel a bit worn...

Let us know how your going with it as I am contemplating a BF XR6T chaser...

Hi there, interior is VERY good, probably 8.5/10.

There are maybe 6 minor dings (only someone who washes the car would know they are there)

It drives like a new BA (we have falcons at work) still smells new, FORD repaired some minor stuff under warranty (bonnet release etc...)

The only thing that I can notice in driving is the passenger fron suspension, there is an occaisional light knock (like a ball joint)

I had all the fluids done when I got it, and had some plugs put in it. A bolt on the turbo came loose and ford fixed that.

I tracked down the HWP unit the car was with a grilled the HWP manager about the use and history of the car. It was a country HWP car I thought that was a good thing.

I suppose the best indication I could give you is to say I would do it again.
