It takes all of two minutes to remove and refit the cover...

Had plenty of traction although it has new tyres so it is holding on like a mountain goat. Turning corners is a different story

Mr Man Mad Scientist Member 816 Member For: 20y 3m 1d Gender: Male Location: Vic Posted 09/02/07 08:44 PM Share Posted 09/02/07 08:44 PM I've heard they are bringing back the BA style hardlid as the BF style item isn't proving to popular. Can't blame them, I'm glad I've got the BA version. Much, much better!←I rang my local ford dealer a couple of weeks ago and the bloke in spare parts told me u can still order the flat BA style lids but u have to get them painted, plus they are about $400 dearer than the BF ones with the buldge... The mounts are definately different - the bracket on the BF runs right across the front of the tray.

I think you only have to drill 2 extrta holes, so it is much neater. The factory uses this method it seems, ive never seen a dealer fitted hardcover use this method, which is a shame. This method looks the best, and is definately the strongest. The second seems to be the dealer fit option, two much smaller brackets attached into the tub. Much more chance of movement and moving itself out of alignment. You'd think Ford would use just the one attachment method.....
