im not sure about anyone else, but coolers that are offset to one side (ie the factory cooler) kinda bother me. im currently in the market for a replacement cooler for my xr6T and was wondering if there was a cooler on the market that utilised the factory pipes but was in the centre of the car? ive done a search through this forum but havnt come up with any options.

also is it possible to mosify the mounts and/or pipe length on somehting like the wog cooler to achieve this? im an aluminium welder and can easily do this just dont want to go to the trouble of making my own cooler for my daily and having the car off the road while I build it and plumb it up. just wanting to know if there is somehting behind the front bar that's in the way so this cant be done?

any help would be great.

cheers

Andrew

I think you will find that most people dont have theres off set by choice you see (well I know with mine) there is a air con line that sit on the left side under the bumper that stop's people from moving the intercooler into the center.

The air con line takes and sit so far across that is why most cooler's are offset, I have heard of people bending it out the way but it is a high pressure line so I didnt want to risk it.

IF any one knows how to get around this please post how, as I want a cented cooler aswell and bigger to :roflmbo:

yeah moving the air con line sounds the go, I liked the process west kit except the fact that you cant keep the snorkel to the air box. still may buy the cooler from them and maybe modify or make new pipes for it.

Yeah you gotta bend it or move it. Moving it would be the best option.

It aldepends on the width of the cooler though, mine's 780mm wide end tank to end tanks and just fits with some trimming of the bar and pushing the aircon lines back.

It feels a bit sketchy bending the lines back... I was prepared for the BANG :w00t2:

Mines a bit off centre but Im not too fussed
