Some engines get that whistley sound, my eb 5litre had it . Maybe its something to do with the accessories belt, dunno. I always wondered what NA stood for, but was too shy to ask Lightning.... Ford tell me it's the Turbo, but the noise sounds electricalYou can hear it best if it's quite, or on the freewayanyone else? I've heard the same thing - noticed it with the radio on but the volume down. It's not the turbo spooling. As far as I'm concerned its electrical interference from the engine. It only seems to do it when engine revs are high with or without the radio on! In a ute the noise will come from the left hand rearmost pilar and in a sedan it will come from the left hand corner of the dash. There was Ithread on here about it a while back. I'll try and find it. No fix at this stage! Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/3226-engine-whistle/#findComment-24045 Share on other sites
