the tyre shop has fitted 30 series tyres to my rims and I'm worried about rim damage with only having such a small profile.

is this the normal size or do you guys have 35 or 40 series fitted?

you bought 20's and worried about low profile?? low profile begins at 19' lol...

I ask the question because

1 - I dont know much about tyres and profiles and

2 - I've seen members mention on here that they have 35 series on their 20's

I run 225/35/20 Wanli Tyres. I think you'll find they are they only legal tyre available for a 20" rim on a T. Cheers

What is the size of tyre they have fitted for you?

I have 225/35/20 all round on my car. I haven't suffered any rim damage at all from the low profile other than 2 of my mates rubbing against gutters while trying to park it :roflmbo:

they've fitted 245/30/20 and I'm thinking that a 35 series tyre would have been better in absorbing any potholes etc from the road . is it worth taking it back and getting the 35's or would it not really make that much difference?

Personally, I don't see the advantage of running a narrower tyre than standard with the 225's?

I have 245/30-20 on the front - 8.5" wide wheel

275/35-20 on the rears - 9.5" wheel

what is the rimr offset. I didnt think 245 fit on the frnt with 20's. Mine are 35 profile front and rear. I have nexen tyres 225 front and I was told the load rating is legal... I suspected not though. what is the minimum. 30 should be ok with a 245.
