XR06T Silver Donating Members 4,146 Member For: 19y 9m 26d Gender: Male Posted 31/01/07 11:46 PM Share Posted 31/01/07 11:46 PM actually thinking about it I did have this problem also. it ended up being a loose selector like steve said. all you have to do is pop the surround off with teh leather boot and get a shifter in there and tighten the 2 bolts.I'd try that before taking it too ford. the surround just pops off. its held in by 4 plastic clips and you jus gotta pull it upwards after you take the shift knob off.let us know how you go! Its wierd becuase its exactly the same as the old box that's why im wondering if its something else that's causing it. Or it could just be my luck that I got another crappy box.
