HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY TO ALLHad my stock BA MKII T manual for about 5 months now and it's time for more power.I am getting edit and capa box.I am willing to through another 2 - 3 grand at it and I am wondering what would give me best results?I have been advised to go with 968 injectors and an APS CAI....which I am happy to do, but I want to make sure I am spending my money in the right areas. If I go a bigger intercooler OR replace some exhaust plumbing, which would be more beneficial? OR should I be getting exhaust over the CAI?I just want the best bang for buck......as we all do I guess!Your opinions would be greatly appreciated!Cheers guys. ICs are usually done in conjunction with other mods so who knows if this is correct. I have really noticed the difference with a bigger IC.Depending who you talk to 968 injectors are running pretty close to their capacity at 350kw so you may consider other sorts such as Nizpro redrilled stockers or Seimens that can support 350rwkw+ with ease. Best to talk to your preferred tuner before you rush out and buy a truck load of expensive parts that may not suit your intended application and power level. Posted 26/01/07 06:28 AM Share Posted 26/01/07 06:28 AM Im in the process of modding my BF Mk1 XR6T and planned to do premium brake setup,27mm front sway bar, exhaust (centre muffler) first, CAI, Typhoon IC, then flash tuner edit and leave it at that. Figured that should give me a nice streeter that goes ok,handles ok and stops ok.. I dont want to anything on the car, apart from the brakes, that I cant "undo" when the lease expires or I sell it. The most important mods are the flash box, a set of injectors and a cat that flows atleast as well as the stock exhaust (570cfm around). If the budget stretches further, a full exhaust would be beneficial. I would also recommend fitting a larger intercooler, upgraded fuel pump (walbro intank), and an F6 lower snorkel with a BMC filter.
