Right symptoms, and it is a MkI. But, not common in a stock car.Disconnect the battery overnight. Reset the PCM.Or even take it to Ford for a reflash with the latest code. I had a similar popping/missing sound a while back and a change of plugs fixed it. My T is modified but I assume the same issue can occur with a stock car. Good luck! I’ve changed plugs, coils,turbo, cat, manifold gasket ,fuel filter the fuel pump and injectors we’re supposed to be fine too . It runs really rich in fuel is all I’ve got .
