OK heres my 2c worth. The fog lights fitted to your car are not to improve your visibility in foggy conditions. They are so OTHER cars can see your car - that's why some cars also have a fog light on the rear. (ie hyundai excel )

They are situated low to the ground so the light doesnt reflect off the fog and reduce the dirvers visibility. ie visibility is REDUCED when u use your highbeams in fog.

The fact that someone said earlier in this thread that they are useless in fog is a bit of an incorrect statement.

You seem to be contradicting yourself a bit there ...

Maybe you misunderstood me... Ken seemed to get it? :oooh:

You're quite right Ross, I did misunderstand you. And that's because you contradicted yourself ...

And I don't need you to tell me than Ken seems to be getting it and I'm not ...

Can we get this thread back on track now please...

Based on past experience, I'd have to say "probably not" ...

Turbo6Man, no need to get upset. I was just saying that if Ken got it and noone else made a contrary post, then obviously you must have misunderstood what I was saying.

I think you are confusing the the word "your" in my statement.

Instead of:

I'll rephrase.

OK heres my 2c worth. The fog lights fitted to your car are not to improve the drivers visibility in foggy conditions. They are so OTHER people can see your car (ie. so they dont not see it and run into it) - that's why some cars also have a fog light on the rear.

As I said, no offence intended.

sorry, but I checked the percentages at the top,and if 37.9% of people have thier foggers on all the time at night then 37.9% of u r wankers.I drive a truck for a living and I gotta tell u people,it is one of my pet hates

Why? They are bright.the light refracts off the road and into the truck mirrors where it reflects into drivers eyes.(not pissie little mirrors 6" square- the mirrors on my truck are huge and there is no escaping the torment/torture of your silly ego boosting ploy for recognition"HEY LOOK AT ME IN MY NEW FLASH CAR"

The problem is compounded when the road is wet

If you cant see at night-SLOW DOWN-why should other motorists have to be inconvenienced for the sake of you.

Oh,the 4.6% who have them on all the time, even during the day,Whats your game?Maybe its to compensate for your pen*s size. Are you really that insecure in life, striving for recognition, that u have to put your lights on during the day,let alone your fog lights.

Probably the same people who bought a new XR just so people would talk to them(nice car mate!!)

You should start your own little group where u could meet every second monday, put your chairs in a little circle and compare your little willies while pondering what it does take to-GET A LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
