Took it to ford and it was getting stuck on the rubber surrounds. All fixed under warranty so don't believe your dealer if he says it's not. Turbofalke Member 658 Member For: 20y 5m 5d Location: Mexico Posted 24/01/07 03:03 AM Author Share Posted 24/01/07 03:03 AM (edited) I visited my local dealer at lunch. It apparently is not warranty (clearly consistency amoung dealers is not evident). Never the less they did fix it at no cost (only the one window) so I cant complain about that! The product Ford uses is "GE Viscasil" which is a silicone lube which is resistant to water. Standard Silicone lubes will not last as long (allegedly)If you want to but a small bottle of the stuff, it'll cost you - $58..... It must be made by one legged virgins in the deep forests of Tunisia from the rear and endangered Viscasil beetle.BTW Window up time now improved from 7.5secs to 2.5secs Edited 24/01/07 03:04 AM by Turbofalke Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/32007-power-windows/page/2/#findComment-489617 Share on other sites
