I'm as keen on upgrading the handling of my car as I am on increase the power...... Can you imagine what these cars are gonna look like dropped and Inch or two?...... Not really a 'rip the gutts outta your engine' kinda guy, but when I lowered my R33...... it made a HUGE difference to the feel of the car. Just felt so much smoother and safer...... and it looked damn good too!Does anyone else plan to lower their car? Don't tell me.... in about 3 years???!!!! If you lower it by more than 1.5" you might have serious front guard clearance issues.As for the main players, can't go past King Springs. Give them a buzz and I'm sure they'll be able to tell you when are they anticipating to release new products for the BA.One thing that all of you might want to consider as well are swaybars! I'm not sure what kind of swaybars the BAs have, but I'm quite sure they wouldn't be very stiff. By using complex measuring equipment and computers they come up with the best package they can with the best ride and handling being the goals. And you think you can go down to the local brothers suspension shop and order some springs and shocks to improve it. Its not like in the old days when they were set up really soft. With the BA IRS they are able to set it up seperatly for ride and handling. The handling is awesome on the BA XR's. I have driven around a few long sweeping corners at way over the speed limit in the wet and they just hang on and on. If you need better handling than the XR's then you need to go and do an advanced driving course, learn to drive and then just set the car up for track days. that's the only time you need different suspension. My BA XR would scrap to easily if it were any lower. As it is I have to be very carefull and had to re-educate the wife on how to drive over speed humps and the like.I'll get off the soap box now!!! Though, the most fun I had was driving an old BMW 333i (real old shape) that had been modified for racing. I swear, that thing couldn't have been more than about 5cm off the road. Freaky. I'm more woried about getting the thing into/over the driveway!I have approx. 120mm clearance on the front spoiler of the EF2.This means I have to go over slow. The standard XT has 160mm clearance and the XR6 sits 32mm lower IIRC, so that makes clearance 128mm.
