You'll luv riding bike's, I just bought a 2007 R6, its like I have forgotten about my car lol Petrol is so much better and you'll get a good thrill! Just ride safe!  :spoton:

thanks, I started off with a cbr250rr and I luved that bike, so easy to learn from also the motor is tough as brick's, I gave that thing the thrashing of its life and it kept asking for more lol! Good looking bikes also! :spoton:

the cbr looks good but if the law lets me get something with a bit of extra grunt I guess its worth saving up for, those ninja's look good, but the go in those must be crazy

The LAM scheme will allow novice riders to ride moderately powered motorcycles with an engine capacity up to and including 660ml and which do not exceed a power to weight ratio of 150 kilowatts per tonne and are shown on this list

I think the r6's are banned, any suggestions on a bike on that list? looking at around 5k

the 2 bikes that would be the best is a 600cc suzuki bandit or a drz400 with motard wheels. The 600 "should" be learner legal, the r6 is definatly not. The 600 is really comfortable to ride and is really tough. (try riding a r6/1 for a long ride, really sh*thouse) But the pick if your riding around town is the drz400 SM, man these things are so much fun, they dont have fairing etc to smash, and you can get some knobbies and go bush. I wouldnt take the 400 on a 500k ride but around town they are heaps better than any roadie. If u search hi and lo you will get the drz with wheels for 6k.
