It works ... Dont be shy..... Big phat phillips head will do the trick.. Straight through.. Dont be scared.. This is how people have been removing oil filters since the first model T.. If they had external oil filters... and yes you are comitted, but dont panic.. It will come of..

If it won't come off after you puncture it, you will need some chewy to block up the hole.....

it is ANTICLOCKWISE - looking from the top of the filter (the bit not on the engine)

Under the car its front to back if you are levering it.

I suggest a filter spanner as oil will go everywhere if you use the screwdriver

The screwdriver works everytime, just messy.

And in you're language it's lefty loosy.

If it's still too tight though, you could always get someone to get under the car and hold the filter still while you spin the car around. Much more leverage that way :tease:

Normal thread, so looking at it from the top, it will unscrew in the clockwise direction

No looking from the top of the engine, it is CLOCKWISE

Obviously from under the car it is ANTI-CLOCKWISE
