just wondering what everyones opinions were about chrome rims on a lightning strike car....I was against it in the begining but am slowly warming to the idea.

I havent seen a silver xr6/t/8 with chrome rims, but I will admit that the combo is wrong when seen on a lancer etc. which is delaying my decision.

but these are what I'm looking at atm.

hey mate I work at advanced alloy wheel repairs, I would steer away from chrome as they can't be repaired if cosmetically damaged. of the wheels we get in here that are chrome they have to be replaced if damaged. Just a bit of insight. they do look good though!!!

Great looking wheels Neilske, maybe just not on a lightning strike XR....

that seems to be the general consensus amongst my freinds too (apart from the ones that drive "rice mobiles" they're all for it)

I wonder why chrome doesnt work on a silver xr, yet looks so right on a bmw m3, m5 etc?

thanks for the opinions guys :spoton:

I think it looks nice, although im not a chrome fan unless its attached to the hubs of a hotrod!

Dont go black.. That seems to be the latest trend.. Every man and his dog is doing it.

Take your time to find something that's unique and would look stylish AND

classy..

It took me months to find my rims..
