Hy guys, I am just wondering if any of you have experienced a speed cut in their Bf t at 180 km/h?

It feels very similar to the limp mode caused from over-revving, we're just at a loss as to why it's occuring?

The car has the 6 speed auto if that's any help, and runs 265 rwkw.

Thanks in advance.

I'm assuming you have an Edit if you are running 265rwkw so wouldn't the tuner removed the Speed Limit?

I thought they all pretty much removed the limit as a part of their normal process :spoton::blush:

I was told mine was removed - allthough I haven't tested it out :spoton:

How much fuel did you have in your tank at the time, if less than 1/4 tank and you were flooring it as if running a 1/4 mile probably just fuel starvation, stock pump has a few limits, check threads on surge tanks and walbro / bosch fuel pump upgrades.

Theres also a thread on modifying the pressure releif valve in the stock pump some where.

Found this in my favorites old link but might explain things - Fuel pumps

Thanks for the tips guys. he fuel level at the time was rather low from memory, so next time we go back to the same private test track, the run will be completed with more fuel on board.

It will also be a good opportunity to test the ute max 180km/h theory.

With respect to the tuner, and him missing it, we have been in touch with him oday, and h himself is at a loss to the situation. Only guessing at the fuel tank levels himself.

Thanks for the advice, will come back with more news later.

I think the utes are speed limited to 180km.

That was only the NA's - different tailshaft or something. :spoton:

Think the Na's might be alloy. Looked at one the other day
