I am thinking about ordering some of these new defi blue racer guages in from the US.

A boost and engine oil temp guage works out to about $450 landed.

Here is some more info

Originally I wanted to get the Autometer Nexus (about $900 landed) but gee - it's hard to justify the cost...

or the Autometer cobalt (also $450 landed).. looks like a nice solid guage, but a maybe a little bit 'how's your nanna'

I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has had good or bad experiences using the defi blue racer guages - or either of the other two...

those defi gauges are like 300$ EACH and are still mechanical.....!!

EDIT hmm if you can get BOTH landed for 450 that's not bad, they look better than the cobalt imo..

but cobalt can be had for around 300 like scribr said

Nah - dont think theyre mechanical - check out the user manual - connections to sensors are all electrical....

a pair of electric full sweeps in Autometer cobalt are considerably more than $300....

Thanks wados - that's a pretty handy site to bookmark - couldnt spot the 'blue racers there - only the older Defi-link style in 52mm...

I haven't been able to find them anywhere in oz just yet - dont suppose it will take long though...

Thanks for the link!

...for sure - try eGuages.com - Defi Blue Racer

I was quoted $25 freight which in comparison to the ones I found on e-bay was pretty cheap...

For the two I am going to get (as above) it works out at US$163 + US$135 + US$25 freight... (US$323 total) which at the mo is around AU$414 landed - assuming I dont get hit for GST on entry

Hey I just got two defi blue racer gauges from egauges... worked out to be 536AU with shipping to perth.. They are nice gauges!! and they are electric.. come with their own senders etc.. got all the wires done just need to connect the boost line and oil sensor to the car.. they dont fit in the standard gauge pod too well.. as they have a lip at the front that I didnt know about.. I have done some slight modifications and can post photos when they are done.. I am using the surrounds that came with them instead of the fpv silver rings as they are too small.
