Maybe Brian and Rob can swap?

swap + $3300 ($2400+LCT+GST=$3300) ... which is very expensive, although it is for 5 wheels, not 4.

LCT rip-off is 25%, which is why it is better to do options after the sale.

Robit28 I don't see the difference between someone upgrading from 17" to 18" on there falcon, I work at Ford research centre and asked about my car when I brought it and I could have had the F6 18" if I wanted so you shouldn't have a problem, ask again and if you go I'll give you a number to call and they well look into it. anyway congrats on the car

I rang the 13FORD number today to see if that was the case as I had a few complaints about the service I received with my old XR6 (scratched rims due to rattle gun, fuel leaks etc).

They listened to my comlaint and I also asked them about the wheel situation asking that Ford may be lenient in this case and do something with the wheels. No go, didn't rally want to know about it.

The dealer had advised that he couldn't do the swap because that is a Ford policy and I don't think he will budge.

PSIFRK, if you have a number (other than 13FORD, I would like to give it a try)!

The car is an Octane 2006 model BF MkI run out vehicle, no real options, in the 6 speed auto, 18" rims (bugger).

I don't really like to put too many options within the loan as you end up paying heaps in interest.

It's hard enough being able to afford a base model!

I'm sure it won't always stay stock though! ;)

Rob.

Your dealer sounds like he is being lazy Rob. When we ordered our car, we decided on the 17's for tyres price alone, then when I went to see the car pre delivery, the wheels just looked pox, so I asked if it could be done. The salesman goes inside, comes back out and says " did you want an 18'' spare aswell?" I said yes and 4 days later my car was delivered with 18's.

I ordered my t with the factory 18's but they hadnt arrived on the due delivery date so the dealer let me drive around on the 17's for a week until the 18's arrived

Rob it is the fact that it is a mark 1 runout. that is in stock some where.

If you were buying a mark 2 that was still not biult than you can spec it up.

But as the car is biult it can not be done.

The only way to do it is see if you can buy the 19's and fit them.

And then sell the 18's.
