So jmi8, are just going to do the bung on a standard TT?

Are you going to dyno the befores and afters?Where abouts are you?

Cheers

Hey Twinpiston

Already had the edit done a little while ago, posted up the dyno results but figures were'nt accurate cause of the awd screwing with dyno readouts. Like to know what it actually has got at the wheels..

I'll get the plug taken out and see how she goes. Probably do the F6 snorkle shortly after and have a chat with Jim at Tunehouse but I'm hoping it's not going to make enough of a difference to warrant a re-tune.. What do you guys think?

I'm in South-West, Sydney. How about you?

I'm in Brissy, their are some other guys like Zap that are going to try this on a standard TT so I will semi gauge their efforts and then try and get this done, just found out I am having another kid so time has suddenly become very short!

Congrats on the impending little 1 Corey!!!

I cannot speak highly enough of going the way of the edit.. I'm loving my TT at the moment.. DO IT!

Just picked up a air box with the F6 norkle from a friend tonight.. I'll attempt to get it on this weekend.. :omg:

I'm hearing what Paulie0735 is saying and looking forward to reading of his results too.

Not sure about you but when I put my F6 snorkel in, I had to put it in upside down to make it fit in behind the light.

That may not make sense, I will try and take a pic tonight to show you.

Here is another explanation. In a normal F6 the snorkel when looking at it side on kinks up, to fit in behind the lights, but because the Terrys airbox sits lower in the engine bay (which is also why we can't put the larger main snorkel from the XR6T's/XR8) I had to turn it upside so as the snorkel kinks up.

Hope this helps..

I also rotated mine 180deg to make it fit.

It is a good mod as the induction noise is greater now.

I am still running the factory filter.

I cannot wait until next week to get the bung removed.

I'm pretty much done with my performance mods jimi8, just for fun I will trial a few different turbo pipes (I’m lucky that I have a son with the skills and tools to make me a few different types) but that’s about it for my performance mods. While it’s true I am chasing a 12 second run, and if it looks like I'm close (and it does at the moment) than I'll persevere but it’s not something I'm obsessing about. I have already achieved much more than I set out to achieve so it’s all bonus from here.

Next project is to fix the 'p0x' so-called Premium sound system........ what a joke that is! The sound system in my daughters Hyundai Getz sound better than the Premium Sound in the TTG.............. :roflmbo:

Yep the premium sound is an embarrassment, that was the last straw that caused me to get the regular T. The premium sound does not even come close to the system in our Hyundai Elantra. The Hyundai only cost us 20K new and comes with an ipod connection for free. I can't believe ford charges nearly $200 for one in the Ghia. Surely you should at least get an ipod connection for the extra 15K when buying a Ghia.
