Not to mention the whole waste of taxpayer money to take the thing to court.←Everyone has heard the police force deny claims they have a quota and we all know its BS, several weeks ago I was in a friend of mines car, he has a scanner, we overheard a conversation between dispatch officer and the officer in a marked car which had the hair dryer out, on the section of road we just drove down. We heard dispatch officer ask "how are you goin 202?" to which the officer replied "quite good, 2 to go and I will be packing up". So no quota my ASS! Lights go green, I notice the car next to me move, I take off, then bang... got T-boned on the drivers side door...his was a Fairlaine, I was driving the missus' Prelude... was lucky to be alive according to the Ambo's.... they thought I was finished when they got to the scence...anyways, there were a couple of people that witnessed the accident claiming that the other bloke ran a red and hit me...cops took statements, etc...2 weeks later get a nice "infringement"notice stating that I had run the red instead of the other bloke.... bullsh*t I says and I notified them of taking it to court...the list of witnesses were provided to me and I tried to get in contact with the coppers to get details but to no avail under the "privacy laws"...anyways, I was fairly confident that the judge would see what a crock of sh*t the whole thing was....get to court, the only witness present was some bloke who was walking at the time, who originally said it was the other blokes fault, then changed his mind during statement time saying it was my fault, then was confused when questioned by myself and the prosecutor...in the end, he was considered unreliable... the other driver that was in the car next to me and took off before me was "unavailable"due to being interstate...therefore, it came down to my word against the coppers who investigated the accident, and the magistrate sided with them... well, I'll be farked...I argued why on earth would I run a red when I was already stationary in the first place....to say I was dumbfounded would be an understatement....so I just gritted my teeth and walked out calmly before making a scene... to this day I'm convinced I done nothing wrong yet it will always be on my record that I did...plainly sucks but you move on and hate the bastard coppers even more....
