I represented myself against a "finished overtaking on unbroken lines" charge. I took photos of the stretch of road and measured the distance of broken line.Went to court and the prosecutor nearly choked when he saw I had done some homework and had photos. Also pointed out to the judge how many metres per second I travel at 110km/h and said that it was physically impossible for me to have travelled so far without finishing the manouver. After seeing the phot evidence and hearing I had a brain, the prosecutor starts clutching at straws and says of the council must have repainted the road and all sorts of rubbish. I won and the biggest shock the prosecutor got was when I shook his hand and was very polite to him.A lot of the time they just think you'll be too intimidated to even bother going to court.They make it a PITA.
