Well done. I represented myself against a "finished overtaking on unbroken lines" charge. I took photos of the stretch of road and measured the distance of broken line.

Went to court and the prosecutor nearly choked when he saw I had done some homework and had photos. Also pointed out to the judge how many metres per second I travel at 110km/h and said that it was physically impossible for me to have travelled so far without finishing the manouver. After seeing the phot evidence and hearing I had a brain, the prosecutor starts clutching at straws and says of the council must have repainted the road and all sorts of rubbish. I won and the biggest shock the prosecutor got was when I shook his hand and was very polite to him.

A lot of the time they just think you'll be too intimidated to even bother going to court.

They make it a PITA. We had to travel to Bathurst from Sydney twice and waste 2 days of work.

Well done.

I hate it when a small minority of cops give the rest a bad name by doing these things just to increase their quotas (that supposedly don't exist).

In reality, the booking officer should have been reprimanded. Not to mention the whole waste of taxpayer money to take the thing to court.
