Well the day had come where I had to front the melbourne magistrate court today.I was desputing a fine I got back in april for not displaying my P-plate, which I was anyway.

I went down today and I defened my self, first time in court and I was sh*tting bricks anyway I rocked up and pleaded not guilty then I had to go to another court room to have my case heard.

So my case finally got called so up I went front and centre, then the cops came up front all 3 of them(rember this all for just a P-plate dispute) and I was like ok crap what have I got my self into, anyway they prestented there case and it was week the evedince they had did not standed up, as the cops statement was just his personale opinion and the judge said that there was no law to back up what he was saying.

so then it was my turn to question the sgt and I said what I had to say and again his reply to did not stand as the judge rolled him on a couple of his points, you see the copper on the night took photos of my car to show that you could not see the plate, and in his statement he said that vesabilty on the night was clear but it was raining that night and you could see the rian in the photo, that's what rolled him.

Also the photo's they took werent even focused so he dissmissed them as evidence, then to his suprise I had also taken photos of the night and you could cleary see the rain and the P-plate.Then because the cop was struggeling he tryed to bring up the fact I was driving a high powered car but the judge said that has nothing to do with the case.

In the end little me who has never been in court before took on 3 cops and I ONE :spoton:

I was so rapped I couldnt belive it, so it just go's to show that the little guy can win.

congrats on the win. it was pretty harsh of them to give you a fine for not "not displaying the p plate clearly".

I had a copper say my p plate wasnt showing before but he let me off, even saying, alot of people would be lucky to be in my shoes lol

Well done, good to see someone who has the kahunas to take on this sort of bull$hit and see it through.

Cops no doubt just try and bluff folk whenever they can and just rely on people not bothering to contest in the way that you did....

Kudos to you my friend..
