Boost Boy Member 21 Member For: 18y 2m 19d Location: Adelaide Posted 11/01/07 03:44 AM Share Posted 11/01/07 03:44 AM A couple of weeks ago I got my mods done these being Bosch hi flow injectors, 3.5 inch stainless exhaust, ram pod and edit. Stock it made 180rwkw(tad over 7000kms). With the mods but no edit it made 220rwkw and with the edit she got up to 263rwkw running 10psi boost. I'm stoked with it so far and now It's a totally different car compared to stock. Maybe I was being unrealistic for hoping for 300rwkw with only those mods. Please can someone give me some constructive feedback.

Might need to up the boost a little down low but it will make for quicker and better driving experience. If it's an auto you should be looking @ a cooler particularly if you crank up the low - midrange torque.Have a chat to your Tuner and enjoy the new found power in the meantime

Get a cooler and re tune

Some fuel control issues. You see where the curve starts to come up then takes a dive => bad. Also, at the same point he has issues controlling a nice afr curve. It starts off all wobbly legged, then gets a little shape to it after a few revs..For mine, I would want more grunt down low - ( Where you use it ) Peak power figure is not here nor there, who cares what it makes peak, but it needs to be a flatter curve, with a better AVERAGE power figure. This is totally achievable from any tuner who is any good, regardless of your choice of hardware. Don't anyone give me this boost down low kills engines bollox, it's 10-12 freaking PSI for cripes sake, it aint gonna kill anything!Choosing hardware is the simplest job, choosing a tuner who will give you happy motoring long after the initial power hit has worn off is alot harder.. You have to live with the way your car drives every day.. I've had tunes make more power than others and be worse to drive around town, to the point I didn't like my car!!!You know when you really have to 'drive' a car to get it going?? It should be effortless, regardless of how much grunt you have. Take it back for a tweak up if you're not quite happy, most tuners will be obliging enough
