Individual throttle bodies like the GTR but still using a variable length intake runner would be a good option. Nice high flow exhaust as well. The real way to make good power would probably be machining things with very fine tolerances and smooth surfaces.

Boys, instead of stuffing around trying to extract 10kw for $5k. Why not use the cash to go towards weight saving??

Carbon fibre bonnet, maybe even lightened 1/4 panels with some swish vents..

I know 1+1+1 = 3, but bfyb, weight saving has more benefit than many when you hit a wall..

But yes, maybe stroker kits, high comp pistons and head work may be in order?? In a lightened XT ute, ( there's a reason Mock runs an XT -> weight ) I reckon a high comp nutso C16 NA engine would runs 12's.. Maybe just start with getting your head shaved to bump the comp a bit??

Simon from Xtreme does all the head work you would require, and would probably be able to ship you a long engine if you wanted to get serious!

Since when did this become 'fordxr6na.com'?

Theres a way to enjoy the N/A area here, both of you should stop wasting your time and money and just sell you Turbos and buy XR6 N/As, with the extra cash you have left over you can buy a mod or two catch the N/A bug and see what we are on about.

You'll never over heat on track days again, your insurence will drop, you won't sound rice with your little girly BOV's, servicing is cheaper, and cops that see your car won't bother you anymore, less problems all round, plus you'll fit in just fine in the N/A area of this forum.

Or you could just see that the N/A guys around here have a lot of passion for there cars and some of them seem to have far more interest in their cars than a lot of the Turbo drivers here.

mmmmm.......that felt good. :spoton:

Geez... these turbo bullies don't understand Our effort and passion...

They've got thousands of other threads to berate each other performance paths... that's what the "Turbo" forums are for...

I'm pretty sure the N/A side of these forums is supposed to support the N/A Zealots and provide a deserved Meeting ground for the Beloved NA.

I don't recall any NA boys runnin around saying that the Snails on the side of their engines are a waste of Time? or that the corkscrewsshould be used on a wine bottle, not a car? (not actually saying this about Forced induction, just using examples of possible berating that could go on...) We've chosen a harder road to walk as there will be more satisfaction in the development and building of our NA engines.

Peace out People... Make love not war...

"Lean on me... When your not strong... and I'll be your friend... I'll help you mawd on... for .. it won't be long... till we'll all need... some track to ruuun on..."

hehehehe :stirthepot:

So... back on topic...

Where do we catch up with these guys shaving heads and replacing conrods and pistons?.... Sounds like interesting work...
