Many thanks to Cro, Zap and Lord Cyric, and everyone else on the cruise. My girlfriend and I had a great day out, for our first cruise.

Definately not our last!!! It was great to meet some of you, and hope to meet more people in upcoming cruises.

Whether was perfect. Only wish I could have driven. :jerry: Only 5 months to go!!!

Just to repeat the sentiments of everyone who has posted so far - it certainly was a great day (apart from getting a few wrong turns at various times - I'm looking at you CN RED :tease: )

Seriously, it was great to see a few new members :nono: and a lot of respect out there for the Fords :jerry:

The porsche isn't even worth mentioning on the sig.

You should've seen the face of the owner in the black Lambourghini Gallardo that I went head to head with twice on saturday nite. Absolutely priceless after the enthusiastic drive his engine light came on haha. :spoton:

Goobz,

Picked up some "dirty" petrol from a servo once and it played havoc with the ford, had to have the carby cleaned 3 times before the ford ran reliably again. Almost got me killed when it stalled, as a huge semi was boring down on me in the country, had nowhere to go to miss me, car started just in time to limp around the corner and save my sweet a..

:spoton::roflmbo: sorry bout the wrong turns LOOPISM. I was navigator so I will take some blame!!

It did make the day exciting though!! I thought I had my 2 way set to the right channel, but there was a stupid setting :gooff: , so we didn't pick up any of the commentary. So my apologies if people were trying to call us up and there was no response

Late in the day it was all sorted, and we were on the air. From then on it was good to hear some of the comments on the 2 way. Especially when that poor porsche overtook us on the highway and was heading towards the boyz at the front.

I could only imagine the fun u guys had!!!

Yeah that was me. It wasn't limp mode I'm pretty sure. It just wouldn't run at all :gooff:  Only had the thing 2 weeks  :roflmbo:

Oh well. I think it was just the heat getting to it as it has been fine ever since. I'll check the plugs this arvo and see how that goes.

Hi Goobz,

Mine stalled into what looked like limp mode than no RPMs whatsoever twice on the first day driving to the Snowy Cruise last year. It was hot as buggery as well like your Sunday yesterday, possibly. I thought my trip was cactus before it even started :spoton: The collective FordXR6Turbo brains trust around me eventually found the solution - we pulled the negative terminal off the battery to reset the engine management CPU. Did the job and I was able to do the circuit the next day and more (on the way home through Mt Hotham) without an issue

Maybe that helps you?

Sounds like you guys had a good time too :gooff:
