Yeah I realise peak power isnt everything.

My car does feel like it could use alittle bit more power in the lower end. It is currently on the limits of the injectors. It pulls pritty hard for what little mods I have done.

Thinking about getting some custom piping and cooler done soon. I wanna lower the boost abit

If your tuner is any good, you won't be complaining about low down grunt, even with standard squirters.. ??

These things are low rpm torque monstors, even without the plenums!!

As promised here are the dyno results with cooler. You will see three different power reading the top one is from yesterday and two others with cooler. We manipulated the intake temps to see what difference it made. If you look at the graphs you will see that increasing the IT to 67 gave an increase of 4 kw's. I believe the reading yesterday was accurate but a cooler on its own gives less power not more.

They did a run on a stack xr6t after mine and it put out 190 kw's.

Food for thought.

Im getting 260kw and I only done CAI FIlter rear mufflers removed and a custom tune

On the face of it, that's a pretty good result , crans, assuming you have safe AFRs etc. But, as those who have gone further down the mod track will know, it's not all about the peak power figure. A car running 260rwkw on stock injectors will feel very different to drive compared to a car making 260rwkw with larger injectors, for example.

Hey you're alive Buggy - Happy New Year - must catch up as there is news to share!

Only on mobile for next two weeks in QLD.

Simplest way to state the performance aim is to strive for the best or biggest area under the power vs speed dynos.

A question for those who are so quick to state a particular dyno is accurate......how do you know?

Dingah

just saying that it was accurate in my case.. like I mentioned before I have pulled more then 50 runs on it after which I have been to 2 different dynos... figures varied by 9 rwkw :spoton:

Something I do know..My BF Auto T pulled 210.?? in 3rd gear.

It then pulled 216.? in 4th (as you would expect, different gearing)

Sorry but 231.? in third gear in a stock standard T and then 210-214 in 4th....with a different cooler, did I read that correctly...no tune included or did I miss something??

Mine is stock

I believe the 210+rwkw reading but I think something was a miss with the 230rwkw on the same boost as the lower reading.Seen a few stockys pull 210rwkw.

I agree... 210 sounds about right for a freak stocky T!! 230 sounds more like a phoon.
