gday guys,

I know there may have been a thread on this before but I was unable to find anything in detail.

im looking at taking the spoiler off next week and im wondering if anyone has any good pictures of how to do so. where abouts is the light cable that has to be removed and is it just the 2 bolts on either side that has to be removed?

also, im going to put rubber grommets in where the holes are, I went to autobarn today and there are alot of different sized grommets, does anyone know from past experience what size grommets fit inside the holes?

thanks heaps

anthony

g'day mate, there is only 2 6mm buts either side and the cable runs through a big hole on the right hand side and just plugs in 2 a clip inside the boot. I wouldnt bothe with the grommets mate. Most good panel beaters will be able to fill the holes and repaint the lid for around $200. Or u could go the way of a few other members on here that just went and bought a new lid from the wreckers and had it painted. That way u can put the spoiler back on when it comes time to sell/trade.

cheers

You will need to find a 3rd brake light as you are removing the one from the spoiler.

You can get the BA XT setup with the brake light on the parcel shelf.

As for how to do it, open boot, unplug the brakelight, undo 4 bolts and then plug the holes and sort out the 3rd brake light.

Easy.

All sedans reqiure a high mount stop light if you remove the spoiler than yes you need to fit an extra stop light to meet adr laws.

I just picked up my car with no rear spoiler from the panel beaters, looks horn :spoton:

It give the T a sleek look not the boy racer factory look, helps my car is Toxic
