Gaspower in Dianella have done one... The owner did his own car and it's ran flawlessly for the past 6 or so months :w00t2: His number's 9471 1500.

Give Rod a call and tell him Dean gave you his number. He'll look after you if you decide to take the gas path :sleepystuff:

Thanks for posting this info,

the number listed in the post, is it the number of Gas Power or of the chap who got the work done to his car.

I sent a query to gaspower online and they said they cannot do XR6T Gas conversions

Thanks again

nevermind...should have tried before I asked

Just rang the number which is for Gas Power in Morley and asked to speak to Rod

Rod doesn't work there any more so I spoke to Jamie. I asked if they do a conversion and how much do they charge and he said he would call the head office and get back to me...will post when I receive the answer...

well he got back to me faster than I expected.

Head Office said they dont have a conversion kit for the XR6T. He said that Rod did his own work and according to Jamie he had lots of problems with it *shrugs*

So is there anyone else in Perth who can do this conversion??

Cheers

Well - all I can say is that with the way fuel prices are going plus the government grant scheme - and LPG conversion is looking good....

Any more news on LPG conversions / refinements would be a real benefit at the moment as I think a lot of gus would seriously consider LPG in the not too distant future.

yep the govt has always planned to ramp up the excise on LPG as more and more people adopted it.. otherwise there never would have been the LPG subsidy scheme in the 1st place !!

Herbie,

Would do it again in a flash - this car has been problem free since conversion.

I am already planning the next one.

APS Frankston know their stuff, for a stock boost level and for normal driving, I cant fault this.

Hi TurboTaxi,

Just a question on the system, do you have to run the car on pertrol from time to time or have you purely just run it on lpg & leave a qtr tank of petrol in it.

Was sort of economy comparison between fuels do you get?

Considering converting my car to LPG

Thanks
