If I do this I want full boot space. Don't need the spare wheel. Havn't used one for donkeys years. What capacity is possible with a donut tank? Ask APS Frankton - I know they have done a doughnut tank in a T.

It still runs like a charm.Everything made after 1986 (for unleaded) has hardened valve seats, I dont see that LPG would be harmful to these engines. Its a high octane fuel, it doesnt have some of the carbon deposits that petrol has. I need to see 217,000k's out of this car for the lease, I dont think I will have any dramas. Do some googling on LPG and Turbos' with ford motors, there are some fairly hefty cars out there with LPG and boost. I know of one fairlane built by bensons at cardiff that I think is now 16 years old still running original engine, LPG and turbo.I have four cars on LPG so I am biased, but you cant argue with the cost savings. Can anyone else comment on LPG and the effect on the XR6 turbo's valve seats? I called up elite automotive and they had concerns about the longevity of the engine after an LPG conversion. Is there anything that can be done to the engine internals and/or valve seats to prevent damage?

Posted 24/05/07 06:56 PM Share Posted 24/05/07 06:56 PM It is hard to say on the turbo ones at this stage but in say that the standard motors are doing over 800,000 km's untouched. And this is not just the dedicated lpg motors either. The valves in the turbo are better the the standard ones so I call not see a problem really.Ian

Sounds very similar, im looking forward to it, he has plans on making as much power as possible... Look forward to your findings mate and WELCOME! I will be ramping it up a little soon with an F6 cooler, bigger LPG injectors and a new tune.Hi Turbotaxi,Can I ask who did the conversion on the XR6T? and approx cost? I live in Sydney and would like to have this done. I saw a Silver XR6T ute (same as mine) on LPG in traffic the other day, has sparked my interest!
