The VE SS won PCOTY with a 5.4 0-100.

I wouldnt underestimate it and if the figures are accurate the SS should hose any stock T.

Correction, it was BFYB

Performance figures are:

Manual SS

0-100: 5.1

400m: 13.4@174.9

Wakefield Track Time: 36.8

Quick car for a stockie.

There is no way it could do Wakefield in 36.8, a Porsche GT3 does it in 1 min flat...

I'm not sure what the best time for a stock XR6T is, my best was 1:17 and 1:16 with whiteline swaybars.

I don't think pride comes into it ! I had a BA XR8 auto & it was as slow as a rats a-se untill it hit 4000rpm & then it went. The XR8 develops 260kw & 500nm at 4000rpm & the SS 270kw & 530nm at 4400rpm. Now I know from seat of the pants experience now that I have a XR6T that it is much faster to 100k's than the 8 ever was with the torque comming in at 2000rpm. I personally didn't trade the XR8 just for the sake of it, the T was a more potent car as far as I was concerned up to 100k's. Now I don't know what torque the XR8 or the SS develops at 2000rpm, but I'm sure it's not 480nm like the T. Straight line speed up to the higher limits, yes the SS may do the the XR6T, but slingshot out of corners etc in the real world I would take the T or the Phoon. :idunno:

They would have used a short track, not the full length circuit.

that's the problem, the figures aren't accurate. Expensive Daewoo even quote times half a second slower than the ones Motor got. Expensive Daewoo would have sent them a hot one as they have proven to have done in the past. :idunno:
