Hey ppls,

I popped the hood today and noticed that the pipe which goes from the crossover pipe to the cylinder head has broken at the joint on the crossover. (see pic)

Hopefully not too expensive to replace, I wont be able to goto Ford until sometime later this week.

Now to my questions....

Will it be safe for me to drive around for the time being without this connected? What does it do and am I losing boost from it?

If so it would explain why my car feels so sluggy lately....

Its the line between the crankcase vent valve and the intake piping. Allows the crankcase to vent when pressure builds up. Some people have stuck a catch can in between to separate the oil from the air (if any), as seen here:

You're not losing boost though, it's before the turbo.

not sure what it does but I broke mine not long ago.. just find someone who has done a nizpro intake swap as they dont use them.

ford want ~$100 for the pipe and valve thing but got mine for a sixer :spoton:

It will suck in unfiltered air so get it fixed, maybe wrap some tape around it and seal it up until you get it to a garage
