I would like to find out more about these pulleys.... I am looking at trying to get 200+KW out of my NA for as little money as possible.

Not trying to advertise anything here as I don't have the pulleys made yet to sell but rather trying to see if it is worth my while manufacturing, the forums are a good place to see what peoples comments and sceptics are.

I do see an advantage for these pulleys on a 6 considering the V8 has a mountain more torque and we are seeing 10kW at the rears from a set.

Who knows what we would see out of a six cyl.

Research and development is my game for the benefit of all.

Barry.

have these kinds of pullys ever caused trouble to the cooling system and alternator functions, if nothing is affected by these smaller pully's id be keen maybe, would we need a different belt to go with the smaller pullys?

Like the 5.4 pulley kit I would probably do a two piece kit comprising of the crank pulley and the water pump, there would be no need for a shorter belt and the factory one could be retained.

On testing of the V8 set up there was no effect on engine cooling as the thermo fans take care of the system, air con has not been effected nor has charging.

I would probably design them with a 25% underdrive ratio.

would not take pen to paper unless there is a market, one offs are way too much to produce.

Wouldnt worry about cooling too much guys, ive got a smaller water pump pulley on my blown XC, due to the blower pulley fouling on the stock one, and that thing runs fine in the temperature dept. :finger:

For $460 it sounds like a nice mod.... Are you planning on reducing the weight as well? Less weight is always a good thing ;)

Had one on a previous car and A/C got a little lame at idle speed but that was about it. Excellent gain ATW though.

Call me a party pooper....

but remember the problems with the press cars that went into limp home mode during high speed runs due to high engine oil temps. As well as the zoom article about oil temp rising on dyno runs without a suplimental oil cooler.

Turbo cars run a lot hotter than other (including blown) cars putting out the same HP.

I do a bit of towing with a lot of weigt behind, and in the past heat was my enemy.

Thermo fans can only get the out of the radiator that the rest of the cooling system puts there.... but I was wrong once before.

I'll let you guys try it first.... ;)
