Is that a .70 A/R on the turbine housing or compressor? What did it cost you? Where did you buy it? Does it have a T4 flange? What kind of power are you making?Sorry for all of the questions, Im not 100% committed to any 1 option yet. Im still trying to decide which will be best and there are way too many options out there. dansedgli Member 214 Member For: 21y 3m 11d Posted 09/03/07 03:55 AM Author Share Posted 09/03/07 03:55 AM Thanks for the reply. That front housing doesnt look any bigger than the one on the GT3540 that I have on my car now. Is the AR on the rear housing .70 as well as the front? Do you have pictures of the flange that sits on the exhaust manifold? Can you PM me what you paid for the upgrade package? Looking at the Simon's graphs, it looks like a great choice, it comes on boost pretty early. Something like that is what I am after. 500rwkw is what I want. Good luck at the dyno day mate. Hope you get what you are after with it. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/31571-turbo-conversion/page/3/#findComment-505902 Share on other sites

dansedgli Member 214 Member For: 21y 3m 11d Posted 09/03/07 04:56 AM Author Share Posted 09/03/07 04:56 AM I think he mentioned it made 250rwhp in his thread on here somewhere. 250rwhp is only 186rwkw.That is pretty average, has it been tuned yet? turbotrana Member 2,586 Member For: 22y 23d Gender: Male Posted 09/03/07 05:12 AM Share Posted 09/03/07 05:12 AM Dan, go for the TO4Z. This is good enough for 500rwkw depending on your combo. The turbo is rather compact also so its easier to fit in comfined spaces. With your EA body BA engine you better check that something like a nizpro setup will fit and not hit the suspension tower. Once the turbo physical size gets too big then you gotta sit it as a high mount. But the low mount turbo is the way to go IMO. I read a F1 turbo engineer saying that they spend alot of time keeping the compressor and associated piping away from heat so I tried to incorporate that into my E series manifold and a low mount makes this easier to do.
