I was told I have to have 100mm minimum ground clearance anywhere under the car. I was told I can fit 20 x 8.5 wheels, but the tyre must not sit under the guard.... not complying to these would lead to no claim payout. I have SL lovells and I cant get my fingers under the guards on the rear with 245 x 45 x 17. Grrr. Can people please state their minimum ground clearance with reference too: 1. What springs / suspension set-up; 2. What wheel size, tyre width & profile. Also does your tyres sit under the guards. Now I just need something with a 100mm diameter to roll under the car!!! appreciate the help everyone.Cheers

I do not know how anyone could drive a car that low and not hit driveways, speedhumps and dips on the road.

Benny Member 1,869 Member For: 21y 6m 11d Gender: Male Location: Newcastle Posted 05/01/07 02:40 AM Share Posted 05/01/07 02:40 AM With the king springs SL front and SSL rear on 18" wheels with 245's I think you'll find the XR is very close to 100mm if not right on. I think the exhaust is the thing that comes the closest to the ground just under the rear seats. 100mm is really not that low when you see that the rest of the car is higher than the exhaust.
