Feb Motor says:

"FPV is preparing an optional 'R-spec' suspension and handling kit for the Typhoon and GT, with stiffer springs, tuned dampers and unique cosmetic features."

Fark me, how long has the BA/BF been around? And FPV are finally getting serious about making the things handle as they should. Damn, there might be some competition coming for the ol' T3. Bring it on!

FPV have certainly taken a leaf outa HSV's marketing book - build a myriad of different models offering different levels of performance over a whole model run and maximise sales momentum ... forget that the cars don't live up to the hype (at least the early ones) ... the fruit is left 'till the last of the model run.

r spec ? whats wrong with "H.O." handling option

HO gawd here we go.... :roflmbo:

Bout time they cranked the wick up to 300 outa the box and unleash the full potential of the these things as well.

I'd say most BF Phoons are making well over 300kw at the fly from all the dyno sheets floating around. Not quite sure about type R name though, surely theres a better choice.

Cheers

I got mine yesterday as well, I think they were out on normal time. An interesting article in there about the supercharged 380. I hope they go ahead with it, the 380 sure could use an image boost. Also a good article on the new convertible lambo :roflmbo:

Whats the bet we see the mono tube shockies that were MENT to be on the BF F6 standard.

I think the rest will be just fluff like badging, trim, etc.. I would be suprised if they did anything to the power level, as FPV have a track record for power disapointment.

The MRC stuff is pretty good ... I mean in Motor PCOTY a HSV GTS with a crappy auto! lapped 85tenths off a M5 (which weighs 89kg less and has 66kw more). Not bad! ... I think it works.

So this R-spec kit then. Only avail on newly purchased models, or also available for retro-fit?

Don't think I'll be chucking my Bilsteins and swaybars away just yet, but it's good to hear that they're at last going to offer a factory suspension upgrade option.
