Does anybody have any suggestions on how to remove the spigot bearing?

Im about to attack it with a die grinder (carefully of course) to weaken the thing and hopefully it will collapse. Slide hammers and bearing pullers have been no help, and the idea of packing it full of grease to push it out just made a huge mess. Anyone else had difficulties getting one out? Only reason I decided to replace it was it was rough rolling.

Also, can anybody tell me what the torque specs are for the flywheel, clutch, and gearbox bolts on the BAXR6T? Ford werent any help, they couldnt tell me because if something went wrong they would be at fault, and VACC wouldnt tell me cos I didnt have a member number. Obviously number 69 wasnt a good choice.

Cheers

The grease method is the only one I have ever seen successful with cantankerous spigot bearings... If the grease is coming out you need to use a new driver.. It should seal almost perfectly within the hole.... Then hit it and dont hold back.. It will pop.... Gauranteed....

Well, I persivered with the grease method, and FINALLY it popped out. Copped a face full of grease, but it was well worth it. Glad I didnt hit it with the die grinder, could have caused more headaches. Cheers guys, I owe you a beer.

Thanks Phantom for the torque specs. Much appreciated.

Glad to hear you had a win...

Replace it with the highest quality you can afford and you will never see the sucker again....
