Bigger wheels, bigger brakes for starters?

Nup, you're wrong.

the extra $$$ is actually paying for the factory standard options on other vehicles(19 inch rims, Brembo's, etc.)

that's from the horses mouth too.

Thanks for trying though.

Have a look again mate. The F6 is a series one, has the 18s and standard brakes.

The Force has the standard 19s and looks to have the optional premium brakes.

The topic is referring to these two examples in particular, not what is now standard on a showroom Force or F6.

Although it's obviously a cock up the option list of the Force6 say's it's fitted with 18's. :spoton:

If you go back to search results up on the left there is another Typhoon there with 19's at 65 but that would have made my whinge pointless so I 'overlooked' it....

What a coincidence this thread springing up - I was at the local dealer myself window shopping and they had a Typhoon and a F6 sitting side by side (Force was White, F6 was Black) and I was scratching my head looking for the extra value in the Force 6 . The only differences I could pick between the cars were the Force 6 had the chrome mirror covers :spoton: , the lip rear spoiler (not to my taste but others seem to like them) and the crappy plastic looking leather seats (charcoal, not red).

I just happened to be passing the local dealership ... :spoton:

The dude claimed that the Force had the ghia interior, the seats/leather was different to phoons. Not a leather fan personally but on sitting they were definately comfy and more appropriate for the qld climate.

Choose between rich leather seating, finished in either Regency Red or Dark Charcoal *. Comprehensive FPV instrumentation informs you of your progress. Stylish chrome and Dark Walnut finishes invite you into a world of luxury. A convenient memory function adjusts the 8-way power driver's seat, power side view mirrors and power pedal position for 2 unique driver positions. Rear proximity sensors and exterior mirrors that power down to make parking easier are standard"

Force6 standard extras over the Typhoon are:

Shadow Chrome 19" wheels (with SP Sport Maxx tyres), proper 8- way power seat with memory, memory mirrors, fat steering wheel, adjustable pedals, and parking sensors.

Exterior trim differences:

It also has a little duck-tail boot edge spoiler instead of the 3 pillar wing, chromie bits on the body-kit, chrome mirror covers, chrome grilles, and chrome numberplate surround (a la Fairmont Ghia). Oh, and Force6 badges.

It also has a more subdued and coherent interior (leather instead of suede arm rests, dark smokey woodgrain trim instead of imitation carbon fiber).

And that's about it, folks. It's just a phoon in a dinner suit.
