Have to speak with the neurologist next tuesday about that type of stuff. Just hope Im able to make the south coast cruise. Will know if there's an op or not and how long I'll be MIA at this visit. Lets just hope with all the new toys they have now I'll only be down a week or two. Just hope the surgeon's not a Expensive Daewoo guy could be bad Karma! loopism Tractor Driver Member 709 Member For: 18y 11m 2d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 27/01/07 09:29 AM Share Posted 27/01/07 09:29 AM $^%^@^@^%@$%@ MRI came back positive I have an arachnoid cyst pushing on some part in my brain which is what's giving me the headache and head spins. If there is any good in this it's that I'm saving on the booze, my head spinning like a top most days now, just the intencity varies. SOnow it's off to a neurologist next Tuesday to see if he wants to wait, watch and see what the cyst does or go in, seek and destroy. So yeh it is pouring at the mo. I am officially a now. Boss had to let me go cause I can't work at heights at the moment with the dizzy's. As everyone tells me it's time to recupe some of the taxes I have paid over the years. Just hope its enough to get me through till I get back on the chain gang LOL. Staying positive, feel better now knowing what Im fighting. Im told at least its not a tumour that will kill you. Its just a cyst that could eventually turn you into a violent lunatic or just a certitifed lunatic. In the mean time, youll have constant excrutiating headaches and dizzy spells. But then dont hold out hope of a complete cure as there are numerous cases where the op actually caused more harm than good. What to do. What to do. When I read stories like that I say to myself "and I think I have it tough" nothing is more important than your health....if you dont have that you have nothing. But I DID break my neck in 3 places when I was 14. I WAS paralysed from the waist down for 3 months and told I WOULD POSSIBLY NEVER WALK AGAIN. But after an op where bone is taken from the hip and fused onto the spinal cord to replace the verterbrae I had shattered I am back to as normal as anyone could be. No neck problems (just lower back that we all get). So my thinking is if I can beat that ...I can do this with my eyes closed. And with all the best wishes coming from you guys... it's gotta be a positive outcome.←Mate, as my grandad said when he was diagnosed with a terminal cancer that no-one had survived more than five years with, "I'd rather be hit by a bus than let this thing get me". True to his word, he did not die from the cancer. In fact, he lived more than 20 years past the time the docs gave him. My point being that positive thought is incredibly powerful.A little prayer doesn't go astray either.

Dans XR6 Turbo Member 204 Member For: 18y 5m 6d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 29/01/07 11:04 PM Share Posted 29/01/07 11:04 PM Well just got back from the Neurologist..........NO SURGERY According to him the cyst is nothing of concern He reckons the constant headaches and dizziness is more likely due to:Stress Depression and lack of sleep  he has given me some happy pills to takeNo its a matter of wait and see Have to go and get this happy pills made up. Apparently they also make you drowsy uh sleep. Felt confident in the guy. Mongrel electrocuted me and charged me $60 gap for the trouble. They put these electrodes on your neck and different areas of your temples and zap you. He gets a readout on a computer, dont know what it does but I obviously past the test.Just got to shake these damn headaches, they are so dibilitating. I reckon the stress is caused from wanting to do so much to my T but as you all know the missus wont let me touch it until its totally out of warranty ANOTHER 3.5 years LOLJust got to shake these headaches, find a new career and job and get back into it.Hopefully I can do it all in time to afford to do the south coast cruise. I was just saying to the missus the other night how great you guys are and how just being able to talk about it with you all and to see your responses has made it all the easier to handle. I'm one of those guys who is always working and spends his free time at home with the family (unless Im cruising with you guys) and not much else. So I dont have other shoulders to cry on:crybaby: except the missus and with the lack of sleep she has been suffering due to the little one she cant do anymore than she is doing. So its been great that you guys were here otherwise I think I would of gone by now.So sincerely THANKYOU all.
