We would like to join you guys. Were going to be at Gosford on Sat night so where would be the best place to wait for you on the old Highway?

You could wait for us at the intersection of Peats Ridge Rd & Old Pacific Hwy... sometime around 10:30-11:00am... but that all depends on how long it takes for us to down a gourmet pie & coffee at "Pie in the Sky"! :spoton:

First Post has been updated with more cruise details.

I drove the route today and nearly lost it on one of the notorious Putty Rd hairpin turns due to the slippery conditions (it scared the sh*t out of the Nissan Pulsar who was tailgating me!). :tease:

Two major points for those attending:

1. PLEASE top up your tanks before you get to the meeting point in Berowra. It would be a major detour to Cessnock or Singleton if you needed to refuel along the way. Consider your fellow cruisers by doing the right thing... :wtf:

2. Bring along a CB Radio. Handhelds are perfectly fine and are reasonably cheap these days. It makes my job of directing everyone during the cruise so much easier, plus the banter is just hilarious. If you need help acquiring a CB, please PM myself or Cro.

Oh, and let's pray for some good weather on Sunday... :spoton:

Just pick one up from your local auto shop for $30...

You won't be able to talk to anyone more than 100 meters away, but you will be able to hear whats going on from the cruise leader.

It is a big boost in safety to know of a road hazzard before you hit it (I.e. massive pot hole, idiot driver driving on the wrong side, and in very tight 1.5 lane roads it's good to know when a car is coming towards you, you won't get lost either).

Over the last 5 or so cruises I can't remember anyone not having a CB.

... or you can pick up a pair of baby Unidens for around $60 on special.... we brought a spare for loopism on that snowy cruise and it worked very well, with a reasonable range (I'd say a couple of k's). Joyce and I take them whenever we go shopping so I can track her when she gets lost ... saves heaps of time.

Looks like you got it wrong. I'll get Joyce to find a nice black one for you, to colour co-ordinate with your GT.
