Dealers don't like modded cars, unless it's just a nice looking set of wheels.

Dealers will usually just go by the red book value.

If you want to trade-in you're better off financially taking the mods off and selling them separately.

For modded cars you're definitely better trying a private sale first.

mate

from experiences with WRX's I know that anyone buying a modded car knows its been thrashed... and can effect the price you will get.

I have always put car back to standard, traded or sold for a better price than a modded one would get ( dealer generally wont touch a modded one!!)

then flog off zorst, cooler, flasherbox and whatever u have for a half decent bit of spare change.

I will probably do that shortly to my T ute, and the bits can then go onto a tornado...

just my 2 cents worth anyway...

In most cases a modified car is worth less than a stock one but it does depend on what is exactly done and by whom. A car modded by a well known workshop with a reputation may get a small % back on the mods but a backyarder doing the mods definately devalues the car IMO as usually they have NFI and stuff everything they touch.
