2MUCHKW Member 350 Member For: 18y 8m Posted 23/01/07 01:23 PM Share Posted 23/01/07 01:23 PM A Nizpro Stage II + kit fitted to his BF F6 will produce a guaranteed 386RWKW I have my F6 Tornado (ZF Auto) booked for a 2-day training course with Simon and Dave at Nizpro.Stage2, and some extra goodies, eg zorst, walbro pump, and around 385rwkw we should see. Will let you know if the F6 feels any less lazy then Not that it can compare to your blue car, but should be a nice sleeper none-the-less.Congrats on your new F6, good base to work from ←Thanks.I'm not going over 350rwkw to start; I'll see how your auto and other guys cars survive .... I'm just being cautious..... when will you be at Nizpro?I'll be there shortly, as cv's are ready.Brian←Brian theres not a great deal of difference between 350 and 386 rwkw so I dont think the extra stress to the ZF will be massive especially being drivin upon the street.Should'nt be too long now before I install my Nizpro Stage II kit onto my BF F6 so will let you know how it goes. Have been patiently waiting for Nizpro to complete their new intank/swirlpot/pump assembly :banghead: Great to hear your CV's are ready and you can finally resolve that issue!CheersJustin
MrBean Member 400 Member For: 18y 7m 13d Location: Melbourne Posted 23/01/07 08:54 PM Share Posted 23/01/07 08:54 PM (edited) @ Justin: Your's the black F6 with new Terry scoop mod?If so, it really looks nice on my Computer as background, decent 2560x1600 resolution on a 30" Apple LCD Hope you don't mind......Anyway true what you say, but it off course depends how the DynoTuner Map the ECU, how/where in the powerband he allows power to develope. If we had most of that power higher up in the rpm band the torque would be lower, but if we drop down to midrange or even below, the extra power could be problematic to the tranny. Even if just 35-45kw, it may put the box over the edge.Let's hope it doesn't, but I might ask Dave/Simon for 2 tunes, one for around the 350 mark too, and one for 380odd, whatever we could get while still keeping egt's under good control. This way, with day-to-day driving, we could toggle along at a relative nice 350 level, and if something should come along that warrants a little better, we have that little extra capacity - just pop in the flasher and dump the high-level tune.It would have been nice if Capa had the functionality of saving max 5 maps, this would even be better for day-day driving, and a lot less stressful on the engine and driveline.Something like the very old MadMax car - flick a button and wooshhhh...@ Brian: Thanx for the call last night, great talking to you, would be nice to meet up when you down in our side of the woods next week. Here is the link I promissed last night, it is the AutoEnginuity Scantool, same what I got myself to use in the Carputer. Native support for the F6 Engine with the standard software, gives you that extra bit of information for your beast. I could post one or two screenshots of some diagnostic sensors. This is a no-frills practical OBD-II interface, at a relatively affordable price. Got mine off ebay and offered them about $20- USD lower than what you wuld pay on their'e website If I can be off assistance, don't hesitate to ask.Best regards,Beanie Edited 23/01/07 09:03 PM by MrBean
Billsta Member 355 Member For: 18y 5m 14d Location: Rolling on my 20's Posted 24/01/07 02:25 AM Share Posted 24/01/07 02:25 AM Just to add my experience as I have a BF F6 with the ZF. I've had the car a month ago pull 384rwkw (with approximate 900nm of torque) which is my 'fun' tune and my daily tune is 360rwkw.The car hasn't missed a beat so far and has been on two long nights of manual shifting in the 'fun' tune. A huge jump from 308rwkw for me. My car was tuned by Con at C&V in Sydney. So far so good, knock on wood. I have a few other little things to get done, then be knocking on '400' in the next few weeks. In saying that my personal opinion being that only past 400rwkw in constant pedal bashing will we see things fall over ie. the ZF.Alot of unkowns and none of us want to be made famous for officially being the first to brake the ZF in the phoons. Let alone that I"m running the stock engine which again raises many questions as to am I living on borrowed time? Just my opinion.
MrBean Member 400 Member For: 18y 7m 13d Location: Melbourne Posted 24/01/07 04:21 AM Share Posted 24/01/07 04:21 AM Good feedback, Billsta, thanx Just put down deposit with Nizpro an hour ago, roughly $3500, so my spot is reserved. Ah, now the waiting game starts.I anyway instructed Dave to give me a day-to-day tune of as close as we can get to 350rwkw, and a back-up "fun" tune oof say mid 380's, or wahtever we can get close to while still maintaining decent egt's or Lambda's of around 0.86/0.87 or thereabouts. For now I'll stick to the thin 245 18" tyres, as anyway wider tyres don't really improve traction that much, we should really be fitting narrower, but much higher tyres for a longer footprint...So, as long as she spins, we won't put much strain on drivetrain, and I will give her some time to settle before I get onto the maxpower tune. Maybe only use that for extreme emergencies Will keep you posted, now it's time to wait for next weekend, when I can finally have some fun - guess I could busy myself with the Carputer, and mounting of it.
