On the news last night they said that if there wasn't sufficient rainfall in Victoria before Autumn they would be forced onto stage 4 restrictions in Melbourne, thus preventing people from watering their gardens at all.

Now would'nt the logical thing be to enforce that NOW instead of waiting for the dam levels to drop that is almost not fit for consumption without boiling first?

It all comes down to politics before logic...

Are you limited by the same restrictions or are you excused as a commercial entity?

im limited to 70 litres per car at the moment, was 100 litres in stage 3.

im still well below both of these anyway but will be tough in stage 4

ive imported the dri wash system from america and this stuff does work I use it on my phantom t and its amazing, ive also got a very good paint protection product ive applied which helps between washes and that's proven to be the best method of keeping the paint looking good and keeping it smooth for when you have to use the dri wash.any guys in melbourne that need work done or advice im happy to help out either pm me or give us a call 0425 873 861 exoticar finish detailing

Yep, I measured my usage washing the T. 1 x 30litre and 1 x 20 litre containers. That's only 50 litres so I applied for an exemption claiming I use less than a commercial car wash. Well that got knocked back,,,of course.

The rain filled up both containers last week, put them both under the overflowing gutters, and my Karcher high pressure washer doesn't need pressure to work cos it sucks the water from containers (plus it's got a filter). So I still wash the car at home but now only every 2 weeks instead of weekly.

Gettin better at it now and I can get away with just the 30l container plus a 4l bucket with the soap/wax.

I would like to send a bill for 800 dollars to the nsw government to pay for my dead turf.

also do we get a tax rebate cos the government isnt doing its job to secure a solid supply of water.

when is enough enough.

soon we will have to share a wet one for showers :stirthepot:  :w00t2:

Wait till your drinking reclaimed effluent then you wont complain about your dead grass anymore..

We are getting it now in Brissie, was supposed to be a referendum but that was canned.

The only thing that makes it bearable is the fact even raw sewerage would taste better than Sydney water :tease:

I think the idea of making us use buckets is to deter people from washing their cars at all. The extra water that is used by those that can be bothered to use a bucket is compensated for by those that can't be bothered washing theirs at all.

The moronic government minister responsible for water restrictions was asked about the hose vs bucket issue and said he banned hose washing because he assumes every person that uses a hose leaves the hose running full time while they are washing the car. He claimed they would waste several hundred litres washing a car. This d!ckhe@ds name is Frank Sartor - enough said.

Yet it's OK to approve tens of thousands of new homes to run of the same depleated water system, not fix their own water leaks and put gardens in new roundabouts and median strips. :tease:

my elderly next door neighbour told me back in the early days he was told to get rid of his water tank otherwise he would get a $1,000 fine and that he could only have it if he had a property out in the bush!!

now the f*ckheads are giving us grants for them so we can eventually get taxed on it,like everything else!

theyve had a long time to keep water consumption under control and I think they shouldve done alot more 20 years ago than put ''dont be a wally with water'' commercials on,this country is run by dickheads!
